This Simple System Can Change Your Life

Even if you’re over 50. (like me!)

Yesterday, as I was scrolling through Instagram reels,
an artist popped up with a rather interesting and simple concept…

He said:

“If your drawing looks bad, just add more lines.”

His first example was clouds. He drew them in the amaturish way
most of us would. Single line, rounded puffs in the sky. He put 3-5
on the blank page.

Then, to demonstrate his simple process for improvement,
he began to add more lines. Rapidly. Lines on the outside and
inside. Like quick hash marks really. Quick, quick, quick.

When he was finished, the drawings were greatly improved.
More depth. More character. More interest. More to see really.

He demostrated with a simple line cat, a flower, a face, turned to body.
You know the drawing type. Basic outline forms. Kid stuff. Which is the most
anyone will usually attempt. Lazy drawings I call them.

Then, just as magically and simply as the first, he quickly added
hundreds of new, short lines. Low and behold, each of these looked amazing
when he was done. Just as with the clouds.

Every drawing improved, simply by adding more lines.

I’ll put his link at the end so you can watch him in action,
but for maximum usefulness to you and your situation, keep reading…

At the time I was blown away. Such a simple concept. I love watching
talent perform.

That’s how the greats operate and captivate us right?

They make something we perceive as “hard” look so simple. Athletes do it. Musicians do it.
Painters do it. Craftsmen and women of all fields amaze us with their skills.

They make it look so easy.

Then, as most screen watching sessions usually end for me, I closed the app
and casually went back to my day.

But apparently, I wasn’t done with this. My brain kept it simmering on low.
Like the best pasta sauce which needs to cook slowly for hours and hours.
Or a fine wine which needs time to age.

Lying in bed that night, in the dark, quiet moments just before sleep, my brain blurted,
“Hey wait man, this is just like that worksheet you published today. The one
on how to gain more positive results from your day.”

And Brain was right!

As I thought about it, I agreed. Yes! Yes!

Here’s what I had worked on earlier that day that got my brain all fired up…

Most of us have less than 10 things roughly scheduled for each day.
Less than ten lines that we let create the picture of our day…

  1. Get up.
  2. Eat breakfast.
  3. Go to work. Maybe your work is child or eldercare. That’s hard work.
  4. Lunch break.
  5. Eat dinner.
  6. Relax with family or do chores or hobby.
  7. Go to bed.
  8. Shower at some point.

Most folk’s daily lives could be drawn with less than 10 lines. Here’s 8.

You can probably add a couple specific things, to equal 10, but not much more.

And many of these folks are not happy. They’re not content with this picture of their life.

They want their life to be better. They want to see and experience a better life for themselves.

Yet day after day they draw the same damn thing . It’s the same 10 lines
and there’s no way to draw them better. They just are. Habits.

So the revelation that night, thanks to Brain became, add more lines!

Which is just what I had published earlier that day, in the Chart For Change
but before I saw the drawing analogy!

The Chart for Change contains 35 lines for your daily activities. Activities you choose!

More lines. Better picture. Better days.

Think about this, most of us make a grocery list every week or two.
Then we go to the store and get the stuff we desire.

It would be very hard to go shopping without the list.
We’d forget the stuff we want.
And probably come home with things we don’t need.

Most people spend more effort on their grocery list than their life!

We know the best way to get what we want is to write it down.

We’ll do it for food. But throw out the concept when it comes to the bigger things.
The things that really matter. Our daily life.

The free Chart for Change lets you write in all the things you want,
or know you need to do, to move your life toward a more fulfilling picture.

Most of us know what we want, or what we need to do. We just don’t do it.

Because we have no list to remind us!

We show up to the most important day of our life, the next day, this day, the only day we have, with NO LIST!

We expect to eek by with less than 10 lines that we do daily, from memory, from habit, over and over,
then we wonder why our lives never get better. Same old, same old.

Friends ask, “How’s things?”
And the reply is so often, “Oh, you know, same old, same old.”

The free and instant download Chart for Change lets you fix that.

  • Lets you get the things you desire.
  • Lets you do the things you want to do.
  • Let’s you replace same old with something different.

Without a list, and more lines, you’ll just keep getting what you’ve always gotten.
The picture will never change. Never improve.

If you are ready for a change, (and you’re never too old) I’ve made it simple. Simple as adding more lines,
just like the Instagram artist did.

Here are some of the things this old dog (Elderbob) learned to do after 50

  • Learned to play the banjo
  • Wrote and published 20 books
  • Published over a dozen personal development programs
  • Learned to write cursive backwards, left handed, and left handed, cursive backward
  • Learned to bounce a golf ball on a hammer 1000 consecutive times, 500 left handed
  • Learned digital photography and Photoshop, then wrote a tutorial book on Photoshop
  • and more!

Each new success began with adding a line, one new commitment to the day.

Your life can look better. Be fuller. Be funner. It can captivate and excite again.
It can have you looking forward to more time doing the things you love…

If you’ll just add more lines!

The totally free “Chart for Change – Simple Guide for Creating the Life You Really Want” makes it easy.

Best of all. I’m also including the companion, 3 step, Daily Focus Sheet to help you pinpoint the things you really want. So many stumble and fail simply from lack of clarity about what they want. Or still worse, due to false beliefs about what they can or can’t have. What they deserve or don’t. The Daily Focus Sheet helps fix that.

Here’s the link for you one more time, your first step to drawing up a better life for yourself.
